The European Crowdfunding Network (ECN) was initiated in 2011 and incorporated in February 2013 as an International Non-Profit Organisation in Belgium. It is a professional network promoting transparency, adequate (self) regulation and governance while offering a combined voice in policy discussion and public opinion building. It aims at creating a more favorable European framework for funding start-ups and small projects from wide audiences of investors.
